Thanks for taking the time to look at my portfolio.

I started out teaching history and English for middle and high school. I quickly learned how big a role design played in the success of my students.

My master’s degree in Instructional Design & Development deepened my understanding that good design = measurable results. With my master’s I worked on a federal technology grant and designed and maintained the grant website.

While teaching I frequently designed, wrote and edited digital publications, blog articles and other copy. I loved this type of writing so much I pursued several professional copywriting certifications. My favorite was UX!

While teaching online, I freelanced as a copy and content writer. One of my clients was a tennis business that needed a redesign AND fresh copy. After finishing and relaunching their sign-ups tripled. I realized that while I LOVE copywriting, especially UX writing, I also LOVE design.  Enter Product Design!

This is the PERFECT fit for me! It’s creativity meets effective UX research/design, and writing. The result is high impact on the users – who can easily understand how to accomplish what they want to do quickly and easily.
